I have known the Harward family for over 10 years. I went to school with Scott, we used to ride bikes to middle school together with some other neighborhood friends and now Barbara will be Abigail’s preschool teacher in September. It is fun to see how things have changed through the years and I love that I can now capture that change through photographing families.
This extended family session took place at John A. Finch Arboretum. I love taking family photos at this location because the kids can run around and climb all the cool trees when we are done and I can capture the joy. I let the kids play around with my Polaroid Camera at the end of the session and they had so much fun. It is always hilarious to see the photos they end up getting because it almost always consists of the most unflattering angles, but the kids love it and get so excited to bring the photos home and put them next to their bed or in their journals. And of course I love seeing these little kids look like photographers in training!
I am so grateful to know the Harwards and had a blast capturing all of them together after not seeing many of them for several years 🙂
An extended family session is so fun because you have the whole family together for pictures but can still break off into smaller families or groups as well. Nothing beats seeing the beautiful family you have created all together & continuing to grow through out the generations.
