McCall and I both grew up in Spokane, we were a few years apart and don’t remember ever meeting although I’m sure our paths crossed a time or two. Her brother was actually my brother on trek (a reenactment of the pioneers that is held by the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) but it has nearly been 13 years since then, so it was a fun surprise that he was the officiant for the elopement.
McCall reached out to me a few weeks ago, so this was a pretty last minute plan and it turned out incredible! I love the simplicity and beauty of the salt flats. Part of it was actually flooded and we trekked in through the water, but it actually added to the fun of it!
We started with a first look and Connor swore he wasn’t going to cry 😉 It really was the most precious moment! As everyone got there we did the ceremony right at sunrise and it was beautiful!! Elopements will always have my heart because everything is about the marriage which is obviously the most important part and you could feel the love these two have for each other.
After the ceremony we did some more photos and then cake cutting and a toast. It was magic and I am so happy for these two and grateful that I was able to be apart of it! Best of luck in Hawaii!!!
