My favorite part of the day was when we were taking Bride and Groom photos in the morning, it had been raining and it was SO COLD and Melissa being from Brazil was FREEZING, but she said, “I’m so cold but I don’t care because I am so happy!” It summed up this day perfectly.
It was a really cold day, but these two could not stop smiling! Melissa and Spencer met on their missions and have been waiting years for this day as they waited for Melissa to get her visa during the craziness that has been the past two years. But they made it and you could tell that nothing else mattered to them! They overcame so many obstacles to get to this day and there were so many happy tears shed by so many!
I grew up in the same ward as Spencer and remember seeing many different phases of life that he went through. Watching him ultimately decide to serve a mission and now getting married in the temple. It’s a beautiful thing to see, even from a distance. I couldn’t be happier for these two and know they will have such a happy and fulfilled life!
