Lake Colchuck Elopement | Shelby & Adam

I cannot put into words how beautiful this day was. This was my first time witnessing an elopement and if I could do my wedding over again, I would 100000% elope.

It was one of the most powerful ceremonies I have ever witnessed. Being surrounded by extraordinary mountains that God himself created with people that truly Love God and each other with their entire beings, very few things give you that feeling❤️

My mom got to come along as my assistant and my friend Janae was the videographer which was so fun!! We started the hike up to Lake Colchuck around 4am. I hadn’t got much sleep the night before because I was so anxious/excited for what was to come, but my adrenaline was pumping and I was ready to go! We made it to Lake Colchuck in about 3 hours where the bride, groom, and minister changed into their wedding attire on the side of a mountain with mirrors hanging on trees and makeup laid out everywhere. It was kind of awesome! The water was so blue and it was quite with very few people at the time, although their was one lady who almost gave Adam a modeling job in the spot😱😂 But that’s a story for another time😉

Shelby and Adam were able to have a perfect first look moment right before we made our way over to where the ceremony would be held!

Adams cousin, Nikki, had been working towards becoming a minister over the past couple years and this was her first wedding. And I don’t know if she will be able to top it😉 She did such an amazing job as she focused on Christ and the love Shelby and Adam have for each other. I feel blessed to have been a part of it❤️ The couple read vows and had their first communion as husband and wife. We took some photos and then changed back into our hiking gear to make the 4.5 mile hike back. Before we left we all took a moment to sit, eat some food, feed chipmunks, and soak it all in! On the way down we also got to feed birds out of our hands which was so so cool!!! Everyone was congratulating the couple as we passed and many asked for a photo😂

Shelby and Adam are incredibly kind, fun, happy, and extremely good at making people feel important! They are such a gift to me and I am so grateful that I decided to take photos of a random stranger proposing one August day in 2020 and that it led to all this❤️ God really has a way of placing people in your life at the perfect moments and in the perfect ways!

Thank you for an unforgettable day Shelby and Adam!
