Oh my goodness. Ryen is the ray of sunshine I needed this week. I had a really hard emotional week last week and her Manito Park senior session seriously boosted my spirits so much. Her family was referred to me last year for their family pictures and this year Ryen reached out to me to take her senior pictures. Of course I said YES! She is the bomb!
Ryen was so happy & optimistic about everything, it made taking her pictures a blast! She radiates with confidence and was so nice! She kept giving me compliments about my work and it just boosted my confidence and my mood so much. Like I am the one who is supposed to be giving compliments during the sessions! haha. Her mom had asked who she wanted to take her senior pictures and she responded with “hands down Ashlyn because she is so talented and I love her pictures.” That seriously means the world!
You could just tell she was excited to be there, which made me so happy! Ryen was so funny and candid, I didn’t even have to tell her what to do. She kept dancing and had me laughing the whole time. I love that you can sense her personality in her pictures. Her outfits were so dang cute and basically we had the best time! She said she borrowed a lot of the clothes from her mom’s closet so obviously they both have incredible style!
I remember last year she had mentioned that she had dyed her hair and it ended up actually frying a lot of her hair off so she had to cut it really short and I remember her wishing it was long again, but then she decided to just shave it off and ROCKS the short hair! She amazes me and is seriously the cutest! Ryen also told me she wants to go to cosmetolegy school and she would be amazing!! She totally fits that vibe! After she shaved her head, she decided to just get a bunch of wigs, so she can have fun and switch it up whenever she wants to! She brought one of them to her session for some of the pictures and she helped me make a super fun reel. How fun is that?!
Ryen’s mom and two younger siblings came to the session. She is such an awesome big sister, her siblings totally adore her. Her siblings were riding their bikes and their heely’s around. Did you have a pair of those when you were a kid? I totally did! Think they make them in adult sizes? I kind of miss them! haha they are the nicest people! Ryen kept joking that her mom knows literally everyone because we kept running into people she knew. I love when everyone tags along for sessions!
I love Ryen so stinking much! We did her session at Manito Park and they turned out so pretty! She is gorgeous inside and out! Thanks for trusting me with your pictures!! I am looking forward to more shoots in the future 🙂
