So many fun connections with this cute couple. I am so glad I got to photograph their beautiful Post Falls wedding! Jared’s older brother, Rob, was one of my best friends in high school so I knew Jared a little bit! My other best friend in high school, Cassidy, was actually mission companions with Rachel. SO CRAZY. And Rachel wore Cassidy’s wedding dress, how awesome is that!
We did their formal session up at the top of Mount Spokane the week before. Jared & Rachel got sealed in the Spokane Washington LDS temple and then had a beautiful ring ceremony in Rob & Cassidy’s backyard at the beginning of the reception. Rob was the officiator and he shared some really sweet words to them. One of the things that stood out to me was when he said, “go to bed angry.”
Waylon and I have had a conversations about that and I totally agree with this advice. Usually when you are arguing late at night it is because you are tired and if you just go to bed then you usually wake up refreshed and not mad. Most of the time you realize it wasn’t worth getting upset over. I know that if I stay up late to keep trying to argue about something then we just get more upset with each other and say things we don’t really mean or will regret later. It was so beautifully presented and said. All the bridesmaids and groomsmen stood up there while they exchanged rings and it was a great way to be able to have everyone enjoy a piece of their union since they were only allowed to have 8 people attend the ceremony.
They had a taco truck, which was AMAZING!! Like literally it doesn’t get better than that. Best Post Falls wedding ever!! Jared & Rachel were joking that all they cared about was the taco truck, haha they were so excited about the food. Jared and Rachel are a super easy going couple! I ran into some people I knew and had a great time celebrating with the friends and families of Jared & Rachel. Thank you for letting me capture your wedding day, I wish you all the happiness in the world!!
