Last year we moved down to Utah for my husband’s internship and him and Kyle ended up both having an internship with the same company! They got to know each other and discovered they had a lot in common. They were both attending BYUI and both of their wives ran businesses. Kyle had told Waylon about his wife’s string art that she does and so of course he told me because I love meeting and supporting other boss babes and quickly looked her up. Soon after that I ordered a beautiful string art temple for one of my brides. Kayla is so good at what she does, and we have remained friends over Instagram until I finally got to meet them all in person for this session! I got to capture their cute maternity photos for TWINS!! I can’t say that I am not a little jealous.
They are just as kind in real life as they are over Instagram and I loved working with them! Kayla and I kept getting distracted just talking and talking. Pretty sure I could talk to her forever. She is just one of those people. Haha!
I will be capturing their birth story when the twins decide to arrive, and I could not be more excited about it! This will be my first time capturing a birth story and I honestly think it may become one of my favorite things. Weird fact about me, growing up my sister and I always begged my mom to let us go with her anytime someone had to go to the hospital. We just loved seeing everything that went on, we didn’t mind waiting either. And before I became a photographer, I wanted to be a nurse so I think this will be the best of all the worlds. When I told Kayla this, she said that may just be the weirdest thing about me. Haha! Like who enjoys being in hospitals?! Apparently, me, as long as I am not the one in the hospital bed. Plus, births are a happy reason to be in the hospital!
